Pictured on the left is the new GROmaster hand held EC meter.
It is designed to be easy to use and very reliable. Just put some of the solution to be tested in the testing cup, and push the "ON" button. You will get an immediate digital reading of the EC to the nearest 1/10. (Meter turns off automatically to save the battery.)
The test cup is connected to the housing with a heavy duty self coiling cord to prevent it from getting tangled.
The housing is extruded aluminum, and both ends are sealed with rubber gaskets. This makes a very water resistant unit. While it should never be submerged, if accidentally dropped in a fertilizer tank, the unit should be fine, if rinsed and dried off promptly.
This meter uses one common 9volt battery, which is located by the lower access plate along with the calibrating screw, for easy calibration and battery changes when necessary.

The test probe is connected to the housing with "DIN" connector for easy removal and/or replacement. (Probe should last at least two years in normal use.)
